BOATS & STARS - Mosaic Making Workshop With Anne Schwegmann-Fielding

COME AND TRY YOUR HAND AT MOSAIC MAKING

Join Artist Anne Schwegmann-Fielding who will be leading FREE workshops in Brightlingsea for participants to create a 9ft mosiac covered boat.

Each workshop is one hour in length and you will get to make your very own mosiac star which will be included on the boat. At the end of the workshops, the fully finished mosaic boat will displayed in Brightlingsea for everyone to see.

• Dates: 5th and 6th August

• Four workshops per day:

10am
11:30am
2:00pm
3:30pm

• Each workshop will be held in Springmead Gardens in Brightlingsea (full address on booking page)

• Workshops are suitable for all ages

• No experience necessary

About the artist

Anne Schwegmann-Fielding is a mosaic artist from Brightlingsea who is passionate about the transformation of old into new.

Anne gives unwanted objects a second skin by process of adornment.  She creates unique sculptures, panels and installations using predominantly recycled and waste materials. Artefacts donated by clients are often incorporated into the works.

Anne often creates works for public art, schools and the local community.

Attention! Colourful Edwardian character wheels, and a curious bubble-blowing, musical cart. Jolly street organ tunes accompanied by percussion and a taxi horn from a one man bandemonium!
